Box 15 Repsonds with Columbus Police

At 1135AM on May 15th, the Columbus Police Department request Box 15 to provide support services for their investigation of an officer involved shooting that left two suspects dead in the parking lot of Columbus Fire Station 19. Box 15 was on scene for five hours and provided 120 pounds of ice, three gallons of Squincher and granola bars to the numerous officers, detectives, and crime scene techs investigating the incident.

On May 17, at 0057 hrs., units from Battalion 2 responded to a fire at 3545 Cleveland Ave. in the Northern Lights Shopping Center. Heavy smoke was blowing out of the One Dollar store. A standby 2nd alarm was requested. Rehab 1 provided drinking water to crews from Clinton, Mifflin, & Columbus.

Columbus Second Alarm

On May 5, upon clearing from the Violet Township incident, Rehab 1 immediately responded on a second alarm apartment fire with Columbus Fire. The fire started in a detached garage & spread to the adjacent apartments. Upon our arrival, we provided drinking water to crews from Columbus, Truro, & Jefferson.


Violet Township House Fire

On May 5, Box 15 was requested by Violet Township at a house fire on Rambling Brook Drive with exposures. Rehab 1 responded with a crew of three. Upon our arrival we served approximately 25 firefighters from Violet, Truro, Basil & Columbus.

Box 15 would like to invite all interested persons to our annual awards dinner on Sunday, April 21, 2013. We will be honoring Firefighter Steve Siegwardt as the 2013 Max Havermant Columbus Firefighter of the Year and Norwich Township Battalion Chief Greg Collier as the 2013 Larry Parlett Franklin County Firefighter of the Year. The dinner will be held at Station 67 located at 379 W. Broad Street Columbus, Ohio.Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25 per person.
